Cynthia Erivo

Cynthia has won an Emmy, Grammy, and Tony Award. She is just an Oscar away from EGOT status, and is nominated for her performance as Elphaba in Wicked. 

She is currently in a relationship with another Black LGBTQ+/SGL icon Lena Waithe. 

She made her Broadway debut in The Color Purple, playing the role of Celie Harris, for which she won a Tony Award. The year she won, all four acting awards for musicals were won by Black actors.
