Brea Baker

She served as the youngest national organizer of the 2017 Women’s March. 

Brea recently released her book Rooted: The American Legacy of Land Theft and The Modern Movement for Black Land Ownership, about her own family’s experiences in the South and the need for reparations. 

When Brea was a student at Yale, she served as the President of the NAACP chapter and contributed to the #NextYale movement, which addressed the legacy of white supremacy on the campus. 

The National Black Justice Coalition (NBJC) is a civil rights organization dedicated to the empowerment of Black lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, queer and same gender loving (LGBTQ/SGL) people, including people living with HIV/AIDS.
